UMUSS provides services to Tribal Members.

  • Child Protective Services

Child Protective Services (CPS) make every effort to ensure safe, permanent, nurturing families for children by protecting them from abuse, neglect, and endangerment.

  • Family Preservation Services

Provide short-term intervention, a family-focused services to assist Ute families in crisis by improving parenting, and family function.

  • Indian Child Welfare Services

Provide protection and the best interest of Tribal children involved in the State child welfare system.

  • Resource Parent Program

To ensure resource families have the support they need, UMUSS provides a mutual commitment by supporting, collaborating, and partnering with resource parents.

  • Adult Outreach Services

Provides a community-based case supervision, service coordination, and referrals to assist and improve the lives of the Ute Tribal members.

  • Domestic Violence Program

Provide support and information system to victims and survivors and their children with immediate intervention with Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Law enforcements to initiate the occurrence. Victim assistance is 24/7 on-call Domestic Violence Advocates.

  • General Assistance

Provide financial assistance to qualified individuals.

  • Referral Services

Provide referrals for clienteles to appropriate resources.
